I went out a few Sundays (14 Feb 2010) ago and shot some stills of Nick Bright that were used over on the Manual web site in Talk Turkey Tuesday with Nick Bright. Apart from the kickflip all the photos were shot that day for that feature. Nick’s a pretty consistent skater so it’s easy to go out and do that. When I sent the images to Manual, I sent a few more than appeared in the feature, as it’s always nice to give people choices. On today’s blog entry I thought I’d share some of the other images that didn’t make it.
The reason I didn’t shoot a kickflip again on the Sunday was because I already had three examples of Nick doing that trick. One was used in the article, but here are the other two.
This one in Mornington.

And my favourite, shot at the Kew Rail.

I also took another version of the melon to fakie that I shot at the Fairfield ramps. This was shot on the small end with a fisheye. I like how you can see the whole spot as well as the trick.

After we’d shot the Frontside Nosebluntslide that appeared in the feature, we found a traffic island complete with pole jam. Again shot with a fisheye.
