With the Girl Tour hitting Auckland on the 19th of February I remembered I had some footage that I’d shot in 1994 of another Demo in Auckland when the World Industries Team toured. The venue that they held it in was a rollerskating rink.

I was watching this clip which is episode 2 of “Don’t fear the Sweeper” on the Nike Skateboarding site.
and I found this interview of Koston talking about his Nike fetish.
I am interested on what the first shoe Koston will have out on Nike will look like. I was a big fan of the Koston 1 when he was on éS, and I had lots and lots of pairs in lots of colorways. I am hoping it will be a simple shoe like that. That design was the best. I even had two pairs of the Koston 3s but I never really liked them that much, too much like a basketball shoe. When I look at his choices for his favorite Nike sneakers it scared me would his shoes on Nike be an offshoot of some of those whack shoes? I think he’s rolling in Janoski’s in the clip on top so I guess he’s choosing contemporary styles these days. He was hinting in the interview that his next shoes might be a modified Dunk Hi.
